simple pleasures

fresh flowers
family celebrations
coffee and treats with friends
autumn sunshine on my face as I explore with Miss Molly
baking
creating
cooking with fresh organic goodness from my garden
sleep ins
snug and warm inside on cool, rainy evenings
beautiful music

after a hectic few weeks...it's the simple pleasures
that restore the soul.

sunday...

Delicious delights, freshly picked from my garden!  Perfect for a Sunday BBQ with friends and family...complimented with good wine of course!

Then late afternoon, as it cooled right down, I baked banana and coconut cake followed by tomato and celery soup for supper...so nice in my cosy little home with lovely music playing in the background and one sleepy pup curled up on her bed.  Isn't that what Sundays are all about?

I had such nice compliments about my home this afternoon too which made me glow inside...I'm rather fond of it myself!

sky blue

...and magnolia white!
Such a pretty blossom against the most perfect of skies.

Forgive me...I'm a day late sharing this, I hope it was worth the wait!  My days seem to be colliding, melding into each other.  The hours feel but a minute and the weeks are flying by.  I'm hoping the week after next life will slow down and I can catch my breath, relax and enjoy pottering around my little home.  I can hardly wait.

golden leaves...

On the weekend I went up the Mountain where the air was cooler and the trees were ablaze with Autumn colour.  Greens and reds and browns and yellows...some floating from the trees resting gently on the ground below creating a spectacular carpet underfoot.  With open gardens and stunning views across to the coast, it really was such a beautiful way to spend a Sunday.  Oh...and the sky...it was the most brilliant blue.  Maybe I'll share it's brilliance tomorrow...

happy memories

...of Mother's Days past.  Happy times, pretty things and loving moments...cherished memories held close to my heart.

The prettiest of vintage jugs (one of my dear Grandmother's treasures) and the brightest and most cheerful of roses.  For my dearest Mummy and my gorgeous Grandmothers...memories and moments recalled make me smile...today and always x

raspberries and coconut

Raspberries picked fresh from Dad's garden.  I just had to bake raspberry and coconut loaf with such gorgeously juicy berries.  The perfect afternoon tea in the last of the day's sunshine.
