This is perhaps my most favourite still-life photograph! I'm rather chuffed that I could capture the intricate beauty of one of my most favourite of flowers!
I adore flowers (did you guess?) and long to learn floristry...imagine days surrounded by nature's very best.

a little lantern
...dancing in the sunlight! Nature's perfect creation so much like a silk lantern - delicate and soft. Certainly a dash of brightness in my little garden. Imagine, as the dusk falls, some lanterns like these swinging in the evening breeze...amongst the grape vine trailing across my pergola... Wouldn't that make for a heavenly evening and sweet dreams?

taking a moment
A cup of tea does wonders for the soul...it makes one stop, breathe and enjoy the moment. With homemade shortbread the moment is even sweeter. Today I'm lacking concentration...I have so much inspiration - the ideas and thoughts are going around in my little head and yet I can't begin to make them a reality. I'm hoping this cheery cup, a gift from a very special friend, helps me savour the moment and put some order into my dreams...

a little delivery
...a ball of linen string missed from coming home with me when purchased. On my doorstep...a brown paper package and enclosed with in...my ball if string (neatly wrapped in tissue), some ribbon treats (oh how I adore ribbons!) and a sweet note enclosed...quite a perfect delivery!
Such a sweet parcel from a lovely person! Thank you Sarah. The very first blog (and quite possibly my favourite!) I read from beginning to end was Sarah's red felt flower (although I didn't realise at the time the connection!). Her lovely charm and gorgeous spirit is captured in her photos and words...it brightens my day whenever I stop by for a read.
